Trio of defeats leaves Writtle stumbling

All three senior XIs fell to defeat at the weekend for the first time in many years.

The first XI gave Chignal a battle after succumbing to the ball for the second week running. Chignal chased down 192 for the loss of 7 wickets.

The second XI were outplayed at home to Canvey as the vistors ran out winners by 70 runs.

The Sunday XI struggled to make inroads into the Rayleigh Fairview batting line-up and failed to defend 154.
